Accused in Clark County fake drug prescription case has Monday court date

Linzey Allen on Friday evening was booked into the Clark County Jail on charges of illegal possession of drug documents and forgery resulting from an investigation by Enon police, Chief W. L. Cox said in a prepared statement.

Police were alerted about 2:50 p.m. to a subject trying to pick up a prescription at the drug store, 110 W. Main St., in Enon. The subject was at the cash register to check out when he suddenly left without the prescription, the chief said in the statement.

As the suspect, identified as Allen, walked across he parking lot toward a getaway car, it sped away -- over curbs, through a red light at Main and Xenia streets and failing to stop for two school buses where children were disembarking. Under state law, drivers are required to stop when children are getting on or off of a school bus.

Police pursued the white four-door Nissan bearing Kentucky license tags, but terminated the chase near Fowler and Dayton-Springfield roads.

The car was last seen headed east toward Springfield.
