Batman story is not true, family says

Multiple family members of a man who was dressed up as Batman have reached out to this newsroom to say his story is not true.

The man, Shane, told our reporters he had been dressing up as Batman and waving at people for 10 years in honor of his 6-year-old son that died of cancer 10 years ago.

“He has three children, they are all girls. He has never had a son. He has never had a child that has had cancer. This is all a fraud. Period,” said Lisa Climmons, Shane’s aunt.

Several other family members have reached out to our newsroom also saying the story is a fraud.
