“We work in back of the store, as it were, and still are able to help customers make jewelry from the vast inventory of beads and bangles we hang on the walls of the Bead Stash,” said Carole.
Bead Stash is located 1230 E. Stroop Road in the Fairmont Plaza and provides jewelry making classes for beginners, intermediates with some experience, and advanced with experience in specified technique.
Recently classes were offered to make a basic Peyote bracelet using a peyote stitch for a beginner. Also, a duo chevron bracelet with a beadweaving technique for intermediate students was scheduled.
In addition to classes, at 3 p.m. every Thursday is respite time with freshly brewed tea, cookies and relaxing music and plenty of space to tangle your worries away.
No need to call ahead.
Everyone is welcome to hang out and enjoy the company of other beaders from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Tuesday. Bring your dinner or carry-out from any of the close-by restaurants. Arrange to bring a project, sit and bead, at Open Bead Nite.
For more information, or to register for a class, phone (937) 640-3017. The business operates Tuesdays through Saturdays. For photos of completed works, go to
