Beavercreek church, gas station partner to offer discounted gas

Life House Church Lead Pastor Kerry Tague says the congregation holds a “serve day” every year, and this year they’re handing out free drinks and discounted gas.

“We have teams all throughout the community who are cleaning up tornado debris, we got people handing out gift cards to tornado victims, and what we’re doing here is we did a gas buy-down,” he said. “We’ve discounted fuel prices 50 cents per gallon, we connected with the owner and they proved free drinks, so we’re handing out the drinks, pumping fuel for the community.”

Tague said his church is doing this just to help people out in the community.

“What we’re trying to do is just help people out a little bit financially, especially with gas prices going up recently,” Tague said. “We just want to let the community know hey we’re here to help out a little bit, so that’s why we did the buy-down on the fuel.”
