UPDATE @ 9:02 p.m.: The Beavercreek planning commission decided to take no action on a controversial Beavercreek condo plan after several residents, for more than an hour, voiced opposition to the rezoning plan.

FIRST REPORT

More than 40 people packed city hall tonight for a public hearing about a controversial Beavercreek condo plan.

The city planning commission is discussing an application to rezone 20.3 acres where the Cottages of Beavercreek would be located — at 2358 County Line Road.

The proposal includes up to 94 apartments/condominiums in 15 buildings.

The applicant is requesting the land be rezoned from agricultural to residential. A farm house and several outbuildings, sheds, barns and feeders, are currently on the property. The land was previously used as a horse farm/stable.

The commission can approve, modify, disapprove or table the proposed resolution to approve the rezoning application.
