The city of Vandalia is searching for a 2017 Christmas season tree. The tree will be unveiled Dec. 3 at the holiday kickoff. A Norway Spruce, Blue Spruce or Green Spruce is sought for donation. The tree should be at least 20 feet tall and easy to remove from the donor’s yard. Anyone interested in offering a tree is asked to call Rudy Wells at 937-415-2345.
Meeting on retire-rehire set
The Vandalia City Council will hold a public meeting Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. in council chambers in the Municipal Building, 333 James Bohanan Drive, to discuss the proposed retirement and retiring of Jon Crusey as city manager.

Space still is available for the 49th Christmas Holiday Show set for Nov. 11 during Tipp City’s annual Winter Yuletide Gathering.

Teddy Bear Party Set
A Children’s Teddy Bear Party will be held Nov. 16 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Milton-Union Public Library.
There will be a teddy bear story time, a craft activity, games, singing and light refreshments. Children are invited to attend along with their favorite teddy bear.
