Applications from artists and parade participants for the 44th annual Englewood Art Festival, scheduled for Aug. 12-13, are being accepted by the Englewood Festival and Arts Commission. Easter egg hunt coming
The Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Centennial Park on April 8. Children 7 and under are invited to bring baskets to the park for egg hunting, treats, prizes and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. The annual Clayton Easter Egg Hunt will be held April 8 at Meadowbrook at Clayton. The hunt begins at 9 a.m. and participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to line up. Children up to age 8 are invited and asked to bring their own basket.

Fairgrounds sports new sign
The Miami County Agricultural Society unveiled the county fairgrounds’ new electronic events sign. The sign was paid for using a portion of a $50,000 grant the agricultural society received for fairgrounds improvements through the Ohio Department of Agriculture Capital Grant program.

City manager leaving
Piqua City Manager Gary Huff confirmed March 23 he would leave for a new job as manager in Ashland, Ky. Huff has been with the city since October 2011. He is a native of Fort Gay, W.Va., and said the Ashland job will allow him to return his home area.
Food safety course set
The Upper Valley Career Center will offer the food safety program ServSafe® developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. This program certifies staff and provides an overview of basic sanitation procedures from receiving food at the loading dock to serving customers.
