Business offering American-made goods expands

American Pi is opening a new location in Lebanon, suggesting the "Buy American" movement has caught on locally.

American Pi is a family-owned retail business that started as a pop-up shop in an empty storefront on St. Clair Street as part of the Activated Spaces program.

American Pi sells a wide variety of products, from gourmet coffee to jewelry to beauty products to clothing. But the business prides itself on selling American-made goods, and it offers items produced by manufacturers from across the nation, including the All American Clothing Co. and Dayton-based Four Ambition.

American Pi proved a success and it expanded its offerings and moved to a larger space next door at 41 S. Saint Clair St. in Merchants Row.

Now American Pi is growing again and will open a new store at 748 E. Columbus Ave. in Lebanon, which is where Kelly Lane Resale Boutique was located.

Owner Danielle Fritz said she always wanted to open other locations, but she did not expect the opportunity would happen so quickly.

"A successful consignment boutique owner, Kelly Gabbard, was ready for the next chapter in her life," Fritz said. "While we were not actively looking for another location we could not pass up the opportunity to take over such an amazing space and a boutique with our same 'vibe.'"

The business opens to the public on Tuesday. The Lebanon Chamber of Commerce will host the shop's official ribbon cutting on Oct. 24.
