UPDATE @ 8:06 a.m.:

Officials from Dayton Power & Light said crews are changing a pole, and the 23 customers without power in the area will likely have power restored by 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Portions of Wilmington-Dayton and Conference roads near Sugarcreek MetroPark are closed this morning as Dayton Power & Light workers repair the damage from a late-night crash.

According to Sugarcreek Twp. officials, at around 4 a.m. a car crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of Wilmington-Dayton and Conference roads. This brought lines down onto trees and the road, prompting officials to close the road.

The DP&L outage map shows an outage in the area of the Sugarcreek MetroPark affecting 23 customers that was reported at 4:52 a.m.

Officials are unsure when the roads or electricity will be restored. We have contacted DP&L for an estimate on how long until repairs are complete, and will update here when we receive a response.
