Celina teen killed, three injured in Mercer Co. ejection crash

A Celina teen is dead after losing control of the car he was driving on Monroe Road in Mercer County Saturday morning, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

Anthony Mowery, 19, was ejected from the car in the crash reported around 2:02 a.m. on Monroe Road just east of Ohio 118. Mowery was pronounced dead at the scene, according to deputies.

Three additional teen passengers, all from Celina, were also in the car at the time of the crash. Deputies said the three were taken to Mercer Health Hospital in unknown conditions.

Mercer County deputies, Celina Fire and EMS, Coldwater EMS and the Mercer County coroner assisted at the scene of the crash that remains under investigation.
