Chance of rain, snow showers most of Friday; sun to return for weekend

Friday will start out with a chance of rain or snow starting in the early morning before transitioning just to rain in the mid-afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. There will be a slight chance for rain or snow showers as it gets later in the evening. Any snow accumulation should be less than half an inch total.

Conditions will be cloudy and windy, with a high near 39 degrees. Tonight it will stay cloudy and breezy with a low around 26 degrees.
