Child found after being dropped off at closed school

An 11-year-old Holy Angels student is found after the person dropping her off did not realize school was still out of session, according to an email to from University of Dayton police.

UD police sent a message to the campus asking them to notify police if the Holy Angels student was spotted. The female student, dressed in her school uniform with a book bag, was dropped off at the Catholic school around 9 a.m. Wednesday, UD police said.

A follow up police email noted the student was located and found safe by 10:37 a.m.

Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1322 Brown St., borders the University of Dayton. The Holy Angels school website indicates Christmas Break ends Thursday.
