Girl, 7, hit by car in Washington Twp. treated, released from Dayton Children’s

A 7-year-old girl who was hit by a car Saturday afternoon was treated and released from Dayton Children’s Hospital, according to an email to our newsroom from a woman who said the accident happened in front of her house. The woman also described the girl as a family friend.

This newsroom has obtained the 9-1-1 call that sent crews to care for a 7-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle Saturday evening.

The 9-1-1 caller told dispatchers the victim was lying in the grass complaining of stomach and leg pain, according to the 9-1-1 call record from the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

The girl accidentally ran out in front of a red Toyota and was struck during a party, according to the 9-1-1 call.

The driver remained on scene and waited for authorities to arrive, according to the 9-1-1 call.

The 7-year-old was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital for treatment. Her condition or whether she was treated and released was not available today.

A 7-year-old child was hit by a car this evening in Washington Twp.

Crews were called around 5:30 p.m. to the 1800 block of Penbrooke Trail.

The severity of the child’s injuries and what led to the incident was not immediately available, but the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said further information was expected to be released later this evening.
