City expects parking garage profit

Dayton City Commission approved one-year renewal contracts to have ABM Parking Services (formerly Ampco) manage the operations of two city parking garages. The city will pay ABM $788,600, and expects $860,000 in parking revenue.

The city will pay ABM $250,000 to manage the municipal garage next to City Hall, and expects to receive $410,000 in revenue from garage operations.

The city will pay ABM $538,600 to manage the Transportation Center garage next to the Convention Center, and expects to receive $450,000 in revenue from garage operations.

According to city documents, the Transportation Center management fee has increased because of 24-hour security coverage to address theft and vandalism issues. JEREMY P. KELLEY
