Another Clayton road is set to close today. Old Salem Road will be closed periodically throughout the next three days as part of the city’s curb and paving program, which will repair or replace sections of more than 40 roads in the city.

Old Salem Road will be closed one block at a time today, Friday and Saturday, according to Public Service Director Randy Sanders.

Contractor John R. Jurgensen is the paving contractor. The cost of this project is $167,000, which is part of the overall city’s plan to spend $1.1 million on roads this year.

The contractors will mill about five inches of asphalt off the road and repave. There will be no long-term closures, just blocks for short periods. Detours will be the roads that surround Old Salem.

Visit the city's Facebook page for updates or contact Sanders at 937-836-3500.
