Alisha Lancaster was the center's CPR instructor. She was demoted to telecommunication and agreed to the five-year last chance agreement. With the agreement, any additional employment violation would result in job termination.
An investigation was initiated in the summer when inconsistencies were found in the issuing of CPR certificates to center employees.
The investigation showed eight employee CPR certifications were issued improperly. The investigation report said Lancaster said she did not intentionally mishandle the certifications and said personal and medical issues had contributed to her actions.

Kendell said he reviewed the investigation and found that although Lancaster "clearly lied to her supervisor on more than one occasion" as well as to his investigator. The inappropriate actions did not meet requirements for criminal charges because she "gained nothing of personal value" from the actions.
