Community blood drive announced

United Methodist Church, in partnership with the Community Blood Center, will host a community blood drive on Jan. 13.

The blood drive will be held 3 to 7 p.m. in the church’s gym, 200 South Dixie Dr., according to Mark Pompilio, center spokesman.

Those who register to donate blood prior to the event will be eligible to receive the center’s gift of a travel fleece blanket.
