The 39th annual Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival is canceled due to the coronavirus.

Fairborn's family friendly festival known for its fresh sweet corn steamed on site, more than 100 booths, live entertainment and children's activities will return Saturday, Aug. 21, and Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at Fairborn Community Park, 691 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, according to the festival's website.

The decision to cancel this year’s event was based on guidance from Greene County Public Health and the Ohio Department of Health, festival organizers said.
