Coronavirus update: 4 Ohioans being tested for coronavirus, 10 tested negative

The Ohio Department of Health has confirmed that four people are being tested for the coronavirus in Ohio.

The number of people who tested negative has increased to ten and no one has tested positive so far.

The state is continuously monitoring the status of the virus and providing daily updates.

UPDATE 3/7/20 @ 2:40 p.m.:

The number has updated to five people who are now being tested for the coronavirus in Ohio, according to the Ohio Department of Health’s daily update.

Nine people have tested negative and zero people have tested positive for the virus as of Saturday.

INITIAL REPORT:

Two people in Ohio are now being tested for coronavirus, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

Three people were awaiting test results this week. So far, one of those results has returned and the person tested negative for coronavirus, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

Eight people in the state have now tested negative. No one in Ohio has tested positive.

Two people are still waiting on test results in the state.

One person in Indiana has tested positive and the state has issued a public health emergency.

According to the Ohio Department of Health, the two awaiting results are showing symptoms and have traveled to China or have been in close contact with a person with coronavirus within the last 14 days.

The ODH is not disclosing where in Ohio the two people are located.

Another 255 people are under Public Health Supervision in Ohio. These people are not showing any symptoms of coronavirus.
