There have been no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Montgomery County at this time.
The state of emergency also allows the city to receive additional assistance if more help is needed.
Gov. Mike DeWine on Tuesday declared a state of emergency for Ohio for similar reasons.
The rec centers will temporarily close starting Friday through April 5, also due to the governor’s order announced Thursday that bans gatherings of more than 100 people due to concerns about the COVID-19 coronavirus:
- Greater Dayton Recreation Center, 2021 W. Third St.
- Lohrey Recreation Center, 2366 Glenarm Ave.
- Northwest Recreation Center, 1600 Princeton Drive
