Coronavirus: YWCA Women of Influence Awards postponed

About 800 people attended YWCA Dayton's 2019 Women of Influence Luncheon at the Dayton Convention Center on Thursday, March 21. Honoree were Cassie Barlow, Rabbi Karen Bodney-Halasz, Kim Duncan, Neenah Ellis,Sheri "Sparkle" Williams and 90-year-old  Chris Saunders. The Dayton Chapter of The Links, Incorporated received the lifetime achievement award.

The YWCA's annual Women of Influence Awards Luncheon scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until June due to global health concerns.

The annual luncheon is sold out and was expecting a crowd of 880 people at the Dayton Convention Center.

Among the 2020 honorees are Ohio State Senator Peggy Lehner, Academy Award winning filmmaker Julie Reichert, and President of the Bob Ross Auto Group, Jenell Ross.

The award is presented to women leaders who have made a lasting impact on the Miami Valley.

This year's luncheon is now rescheduled for June 3rd.
