Taylorsville Road reopens after a car crashes into a DP&L pole

UPDATE @ 7:10 a.m: Taylorsville Road between Brandt Pike and Bellefontaine Road has reopened after a pole was down due to a car crashing into it early Thursday morning.

DP&L had been on the scene in Huber Heights to replace the pole when a driver of a Jeep swerved off the road and hit it around 3:45 a.m, according to officials.

No one was injured in the crash, however, the Jeep did sustain heavy damage.

UPDATE @5:30 a.m.

Taylorsville Road will be closed between Brandt Pike and Bellefontaine Road until about 8:30 a.m. while crews replace a DP&L pole.

The pole was struck by a Jeep around 3:45 a.m.

FIRST REPORT

A Jeep crashed into a Dayton Power & Light pole in Huber Heights early this morning.

The crash was reported around 3:45 a.m. on Taylorsville Road just east of Brandt Pike. Initial reports indicate the Jeep sustained heavy damage.

Police said the driver swerved off the road and hit the pole. No one was injured.
