Homeowner spots mulch fire near home on surveillance video, calls 911

UPDATE @ 10:15 a.m.: 

Home surveillance video captured a mulch fire near a Huber Heights home and allowed for the homeowner to call 911 before the fire spread to the house, according to firefighters.

The homeowner was at work when they spotted smoke and flames near the home on a surveillance camera.

Firefighters responded to the home in the 6100 block of Farmborough Drive and quickly extinguished the fire without any damage to the inside of the house.

No injuries were reported.

FIRST REPORT

Firefighters have responded to reports of a house fire on Farmborough Drive in Huber Heights Monday morning.

Crews were dispatched around 9:40 a.m. and reported smoke and flames coming from the side of the house.

There have been no initial reports of injuries.
