Sebaly Shillito & Dyer, a million-dollar commercial business law firm, has had clients in the West Chester area and employees who live in the area for some time, Henderson said. Its second office will allow the attorneys to be closer to clients and grow its business.
Other law firms that have taken advantage of growth along the I-75 corridor include Frost Brown Todd LLC of Cincinnati and Faruki Ireland & Cox PLL of Dayton. In fact, Frost Brown Todd has an office within minutes of Sebaly Shillito & Dyer on Centre Pointe Drive in West Chester. Faruki Ireland & Cox opened an office on East Fifth Street, Cincinnati, in February.
Currently, five lawyers are working out of the new space part-time. In the next two to five years, there will be 10 full-time lawyers and up to another 10 support staff such as paralegals, legal assistants and office staff, said Henderson, who has been with the firm 10 years.
Since the company namesakes founded the firm in 1986, it has grown from three attorneys with one client to 27 attorneys, 11 paralegals and 50 support staff with several hundred clients.
That includes three lawyers hired this year, he said.
In addition, the firm started SS+D Financial LLC in 2002, a financial services division that manages $28 million in assets, which will also have a West Chester presence.
