The following promotions will be announced:
- Maj. Eric A. Henderson will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and become the Assistant Chief and Chief of Operations
- Lt. Christopher M. Malson will be promoted to the rank of Major and will become Commander of the West Patrol Operations Division
- Sgt. Randy J. Beane will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and will be assigned to the East Patrol Operations Division
- Officer Douglas A. George will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant and will be assigned to the West Patrol Operations Division
- Officer Steven B. McCall will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant and will be assigned to the West Patrol Operations Division
- Officer Rick Oakley will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant and will be assigned to the East Patrol Operations Division
- Officer Jonathan C. Sopczak will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant and will be assigned to the East Patrol Operations Division
In addition to the seven promotions, Lt. Col. Matt Carper, currently the Assistant Police Chief and Chief of Operations, will assume the role of Deputy Director and Assistant Chief of Police.
The community is welcome to attend the ceremony, which will be held at 1:30 p.m. at City Hall in the City Commission Chambers.
