At least 3 taken to hospitals from accident on Free Pike in Dayton

UPDATE @ 9:18 p.m.: The injuries to the three victims in the vehicle accident on Free Pike are believed to be non-life threatening, according to police and fire officials. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The accident scene, which is near Brumbaugh Boulevard, will keep Free Pike shut down until further notice.

UPDATE @ 9:04 p.m.: At least three people, including a child, have been taken to hospitals from the vehicle accident on Free Pike.

Free Pike is closed in both directions as police and fire crews begin their investigation, and have the vehicles towed, in the 4600 block.

One victim has been taken to Miami Valley Hospital, another to Good Samaritan Hospital and the third to Dayton Children’s Hospital. The conditions of the victims are not available.

FIRST REPORT

Several Dayton fire/rescue units are on the scene of a two-vehicle accident in the 4600 block of Free Pike involving a car and a pickup truck.

The collision has left the truck on its side, according to fire/rescue crews at the scene.

The accident was reported about 8:30 p.m. We have a crew on the way.
