>>Local brewery seeks to add second location
Montgomery County records show the bar applied for a liquor license for the new location in June. Huber Heights City Council did not object to that application, according to Assistant City Manager, Scott Falkowski.
Owners James Williams and Ralph Mueller first opened Double Deuce in 2009 at 17 Brandt St., but temporarily ceased operations earlier this summer after accepting an offer on the property from a development firm. While scouting potential new locations, Williams became nostalgic for the old C's Pizza spot, which had also been an Asian restaurant prior to that.

“I remembered the place from when I was younger and going there with my kids,” Williams said.
Williams and Mueller hope to rechristen the restaurant as Double Deuce Family Pizzeria at the new location in two months after some light remodeling and property maintenance. The new name reflects Williams' plans to continue what C's Pizza started in being a place that assists local organizations.

“That location really did a lot for the community. I’m hoping to get back to that as far as helping social organizations. I always like to help where I can,” Williams said.
Double Deuce will re-open with a small menu initially, but Williams plans to expand it significantly once the business is up and running.
