Both a blue 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Jason Frey, 29, of Yorkshire, and a white 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Andrew Bohman, 25, of Maria Stein were traveling east in the left lane of Ohio 219 when Frey struck the back of Bohman’s motorcycle, causing them both to be ejected, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Bohman’s motorcycle then fell to its side on the road while Frey’s motorcycle continued east, striking a Dodge pickup truck driven by Douglas Miller, 52, of Piqua that also was traveling east.

Frey was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bohman was transported to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, then flown to Lima Memorial Hospital. His condition was not immediately known.
Miller was not injured.
Neither motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, and alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash, according to the highway patrol.
