Double slaying brings 36-year prison term

A man was sentenced Wednesday to 36 years in prison for his role in a March 2009 double homicide.

Kenneth Pope Jr., 31, was convicted in the shooting deaths of Gerald L. Brown and Dennis A. Glover, whose bodies were found in a home on North Broadway Street, the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office said.

“The exceptionally violent actions of this defendant, in which two men lost their lives, makes his sentence warranted and fitting,” said Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr.

Co-defendant Terrence Snowden, 37, has a court hearing in October regarding a request to exclude evidence in the case, according to Heck’s office.
