Driver cited after 2-vehicle accident east of Greenville, Darke County

UPDATE @ 3:20 a.m. (Oct. 18): One driver was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign after a crash in Greeneville Twp. at the intersection of Jaysville St. John's Road and U.S. 36 east.

Darke County Deputies along with Greeneville Twp. Fire and Rescue responded to the incident around 9:57 p.m. Tuesday night.

According to a press release, a white Toyota Scion driven by Ladonna Jackson, 28, of Prescott, AZ, was traveling northbound on Jaysville St. John’s Road and stopped at the intersection of U.S. Route 36, then attempted to make a left hand turn on U.S. 36 east when she was struck by a white Dodge Dakota, driven by Douglas Halley, 48, of Ansonia, who was traveling eastbound on U.S. 36.

Jackson was the individual cited as a result of the crash.

Halley was transported to Wayne HealthCare for possible injuries and Jackson was treated and released at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to investigators.

FIRST REPORT

A two-vehicle accident in Greenville Twp. tonight sent both drivers to a hospital, earlybirdpaper.com is reporting.

According to Darke County sheriff's deputies, the driver of a white Toyota Scion pulled into the intersection of Jaysville-St John Road and U.S. 36 east, into the path of a Dodge pickup.

The truck struck the driver’s side of the Scion.

Both drivers were taken to Wayne HealthCare. Their injuries are believed to be minor.

Deputies and medic units were dispatched just after 10 p.m.
