Sidney’s Fire Chief Brad Jones said Cargill maintenance personnel and firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported during the fire.
The fire was contained to the grain dryer, which is used to dry soy beans. Firefighters were on the scene for about three hours and receive mutual aid from the Anna Fire Department.
Cargill officials said they are handling the investigation. There is also estimate available on how much damage was done.
