The advisory is necessary following a water main break along state Route 42, according to a village official.
The boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice, and residents are urged to check the village’s Facebook page for updates.
Use bottled water or boil all water that will be used for drinking, cooking or making ice.
When boiling water, fill the pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil for at least one minute before letting the water cool. Store water in a clean container with a cover.
