Fire crews responding to gas leak near Mechanicsburg

Columbia gas crews have arrived on the scene of a report of a gas leak in the 5000 block of Catawba-Mechanicsburg Road, just southwest of Mechanicsburg in Goshen Township, Champaign County.

According to dispatchers speaking on scanner traffic, emergency crews blocked roads around the location of the leak, and residents in the area are evacuating.
