Fire crews find nobody after report that house fire may have trapped someone

The fire is out at a duplex in the first block of West Parkwood Drive, and two sweeps of the home found nobody inside after a report of a house fire that possibly had trapped someone.

According to dispatch records, fire crews were initially sent to the area at 12:12 a.m. on a report of a house fire that may have someone trapped inside.

A person reporting the fire told 9-1-1 operators that they could hear glass breaking and that it sounded like someone was inside. The reporting person called out to the house, but got no response.

The fire was originally reported in the 2600 block of North Main Street, but the location was updated to a duplex on West Parkwood Drive.

On arrival, records said that fire crews reported heavy smoke in the area and flames coming from the rear of the house. The flames were burning on the first and second floor, and were reaching toward the attic.

Reports said that two adults were living in the apartment on the left side of the house looking from the street, but searches of both apartments found nobody.
