A CareFlight medical helicopter initially was requested but has since been canceled, the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center said.
According to a release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the crash came after a white Chevrolet pickup truck went left of center and then off the left side of the road while travelling west on West Third Street.
The truck crashed into a tree and a telephone pole, the release said, and the driver sustained life-threatening injuries.
This crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
