Firefighters responded to the house in the 2400 block of National around 10 a.m. and reported that the fire was through the roof once they got on scene, said Beavercreek Fire Department Division Chief Leigh Brewer.
“This building has a lot of additions and compartmentalizations, which made it extra challenging for the crews to get in there and get it knocked down,” she said.
While cold temperatures can cause hydrants to freeze, Brewer said they haven’t had any issues.
“The cold weather does impact our efforts here but we’ve been pretty lucky,” she said. “But we have not had any issues with hydrants or water supply.”
No one was at the home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
An estimate for damage was not available at this time.
Investigators were at the same house around 7 p.m. Sunday for a fire, however details on that fire were not immediately available.

Crews are working to determine if the fire Monday was a rekindle from Sunday’s fire or if it’s a separate incident.
We’re working to learn more details as they are able to be released.
