The Centerville-Washington Park District announced Thursday on social media that it secured funding to proceed with the project.
A $558,000 grant will cover 75 percent of the acquisition price, demolition, land conservation and restoration, the park district announced on social media.
The building, 5900 Hithergreen Drive, closed several years ago when the township moved senior programming to other township facilities.
In October, the township and park district submitted an application for the Clean Ohio Conservation Fund grant.
