Duke Energy presented a $10,000 grant to Franklin City Council Monday.
Tim Abbott, government and community relations director, said the energy company provides funding for local governments for economic development efforts. He said the grant is for economic development and environmental issues associated with the Franklin Yards project.
“Duke is supportive of helping local communities with economic development to create new jobs,” Abbott said.
