DETAILED FORECAST

This weekend: Another blast of chilly air is on the way and this time, it will arrive with some precipitation. Scattered light rain is forecast to arrive in the region Friday evening, lingering into Saturday. A cold front will push across the region late Saturday afternoon with temperatures expected to fall from the 50s into the 30s by late Saturday night. With winds coming off Lake Michigan, enough moisture may linger in the area Saturday night to allow a brief mix to a few wet snowflakes or ice pellets. No snow accumulation is expected as the ground will remain too warm. Moisture will be limited. Any precipitation is expected to quickly end by Sunday morning. We'll end the weekend with clearing skies and chilly weather.

Overnight: Expect mainly clear skies. Patchy frost will again be possible after 2 a.m. Temps will fall into the middle 30s by morning.

Friday: Clouds will increase through the day with breezy conditions developing. There will be the chance for passing showers late in the day and evening. Highs will rebound into the upper 50s.

Saturday: Expect lots of clouds and gusty winds. Showers will be possible with highs in the middle 50s. Colder air will arrive in the evening with temperatures falling into the 30s. As temperatures drop, some ice pellets or even wet snowflakes may mix in late Saturday evening and at night.

Sunday: Mostly sunny skies are expected by late afternoon. It will be breezy and chilly. Highs will reach the upper 40s.

Monday: Mostly sunny skies expected. Highs in the middle 50s.

Tuesday: Expect sunny skies. Highs will climb into the upper 50s.
