Memorial contributions are suggested to Clark County Young Life in Springfield, according to the obit. Scarff and his wife, Cynthia, were very involved in Clark County Young Life over the years, Scarff’s obituary said.

A Facebook page dedicated to “Peter Scarff’s Tumor Butt Kicking Update Page,” managed by Scarff’s family, posted a photo of a quote on Sunday announcing Scarff’s death with the caption, “Well done faithful servant.”

“Oh Lord, support us all the day long; until the shadows lengthen; and the evening comes; and the busy world is hushed; and the fever of life is over; and our work is done,” the quote said.

Friends of Scarff have now taken to the page to share stories and photos of Scarff, as well as thoughts and prayers for his family.
