Girl Scout Cookie Booth sales are to begin Friday at area stores, retail businesses, banks and other businesses, Girl Scouts of Western Ohio announced Tuesday night.
This year, cookie lovers will be able to use their smart phones to find the nearest booths and a list of dates and times when those booths will be open. The cookie locator mobile app is available for iPhones and Android devices.

Customers who buy five packages of cookies will get a coupon and the chance to enter a contest to win five cases of cookies.
The QR code on the coupon will take customers to the correct spot online.
