“The project is scheduled for 2010. We do not have an exact design yet but the playground will be similar to those found in other neighborhood parks,” said Bob Feldmann, development manager for the Park District.
Weatherstone Park is in the Weatherstone development west of Ohio 48 and close to the Warren County line in the southern part of Washington Twp.
The park is just more than five acres and was part of the open-space transfer zoning required when the development was planned.
It provides open space within easy walking distance for the citizens who live in this area.
The Centerville-Washington Park District officially took possession of the park in 2006.
