The Winters-Bellbrook Community Library is offering a free driver education program through the library’s website. The program includes practice tests and driver’s manuals for car, motorcycle, and commercial drivers to help prepare for the written portion of the Ohio BMV driver’s license test.

The Fairborn Parks and Recreation Department will host several Valentine-themed classes for children.
- Heart cookie decorating class, 4 to 5 p.m. Feb. 9 at Chantilly Cream Dessert Shop, 407 W. Main St. For ages 6-9. Fee is $12. Register by Feb. 5.
- Cupcake and cookie decorating class, 4 to 5 p.m. Feb. 11 at Chantilly Cream Dessert Shop, 407 W. Main St. For ages 10-12. Fee is $12. Register by Feb. 9.

Confronting bias topic of free talk
A well-known and widely published psychologist who has done extensive research on prejudice and violence will present a program on confronting bias as part of Wright State University’s Year of the Active Bystander program.
Sarah Gervais, an associate professor in the Social and Cognitive Psychology and the Law-Psychology programs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will give a presentation at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 3 in the Student Union Apollo Room.
Here lecture — “Excuse Me, What Did You Say? Using Interpersonal Confrontation to Reduce Prejudice” — is free and open to the public.
The school year at Wright State has been designated the Year of the Active Bystander by Wright State’s Division of Multicultural Affairs and Community Engagement as part of stepped-up efforts to help students, faculty and staff respond productively to prejudice they encounter in their daily interactions. City offers bike maintenance class
The city of Beavercreek Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is offering a bicycle maintenance class for ages 12 and older.
Students will learn how to perform routine repairs and tune ups with instructors from K & G Bike Shops and the Bikeway Advisory Committee.
Students are to bring their own bicycle to the class. Participants younger than 16 years old should be accompanied by an adult.
The class is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 22 through March 16, in the Beavercreek High School Commons, 2660 Dayton Xenia Road. The fee is $12 per person per resident or $24 per resident family. The non-resident fee is $15 or $30 per non-resident family.
