The Air Force Marathon is looking for volunteers to work the race on Saturday, Sept. 19. Organizers say they have approximately half the volunteers needed to manage the race. They are also looking for musicians and performers to provide entertainment for the runners.

XENIA
Festival set for Sept. 18-19
The Xenia Community Festival is scheduled for Sept. 18-19 at Shawnee Park.
The festival will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. the following day.
Activities include children’s rides, the PNC Imagination Station, paddleboats on the lake, and food and craft vendors. To be listed in the festival program, vendors must have their applications in by Aug. 1.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday. Touch will be performing at Saturday at Shawnee Park. All the entertainment at the Festival Pavilion is free. STEVEN MATTHEWS

Annual Scleroderma event set for Aug. 1
The Scleroderma Foundation’s Dayton Area Support Group will host its fourth annual Step Out & Cruise In to Cure Scleroderma — Fun Run, Walk & Car Show on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Community Park, 691 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road.
Registration for this rain-or-shine event begins at 10:30 a.m. for walkers and runners, and 11 a.m. for car show participants.

Registration open for city’s annual 5K
The 26th annual 5K Run/Walk in Fairborn is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday at Rona Hills Park.
Registration forms are available at www.fairborn5krunwalk.itsyourrace.com, at the Government Center, 44 W. Hebble Avenue, and at the Parks and Recreation office at Community Park.
Registration is $25. Proceeds raised from this event allow the Parks and Recreation Division to provide cultural, educational and recreational programs at little or no cost to the public.
