Historical Society needs volunteers

The Beavercreek Historical Society is seeking volunteers to help with its 2015 Spring Living History program that begins in early April.

Each week during the program, a class of Beavercreek third-graders spends some time at Wartinger Historical Park on Kemp Road learning about early pioneer life by doing hands-on activities that the early pioneers would have done.

Directed by Amber Carlos, the Spring Living History program, which began in 1993, has grown to host 23 classrooms of public and parochial Beavercreek students.

Those interested in volunteering should contact director Amber Carlos at 937-912-5766 or email ambercarlos@hotmail.com or email the Beavercreek Historical Society at bhsohio@gmail.com.

More information is also available online at www.beavercreekhistoricalsociety.org under the “School Programs” tab. DIANA BLOWERS, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
