Crews were called just before 8:30 p.m. to the 4400 block of Woodland Hills Boulevard.
“We had a mobile home fire. We’ve got one that was a complete loss,” Harrison Twp. Battalion Chief Mike Crist said.
A second mobile home was damaged by the fire.
All of the homes are vacant and without power. However, Crist said, “It looks like we probably had somebody staying in one temporarily.”
He said the fire is suspicious but still under investigation.
In addition to the two closest fire hydrants not working, there were other challenges for firefighters at the overgrown property.
“Just access was difficult for crews to come back here,” he said.
The property was overgrown and full of debris, so fire trucks could not make it back to the burning mobile home.
“We had to extend lines hundreds and hundreds of feet,” Crist said.

Once the water source was secured and put in use, it only took about 10 minutes to put out the fire, he said.
Heavy flames were showing tonight from a mobile home fire in Harrison Twp.
The fire was reported just before 8:30 p.m. at the park at 4401 Woodland Hills Blvd.
At least one mobile home caught fire, which possibly spread to a second.
It's not clear whether anyone was living in the residences that caught fire.
