Hometown Urgent Care sold, moved to Columbus

Ohio’s largest chain of walk-in medical clinics announced Tuesday that has sold a large share of its business and moved its headquarters to Columbus from Dayton.

Hometown Urgent Care has sold a majority stake to Ridgemont Equity Partners of Charlotte, N.C.

Terms were not disclosed, but officials said the deal fit within Ridgemont’s typical range of $25 million to $75 million.

Hometown started with a single Dayton location in 1996 and has grown to 300 employees in 25 urgent care centers in Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky.
