Hospitality Chorus to perform

The Xenia Hospitality Chorus will present a free show, as part of Xenia’s “Music in the Park” series, on Aug. 3, at 6:30 p.m., at Shawnee Park in Xenia.

The Hospitality Chorus was originally part of the Dayton Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, organized in 1943. In 1958 it was re-chartered as the Xenia Chapter and has been meeting in Xenia ever since with a membership ranging from 25-45 men.

The chorus, which is always open to new members, rehearses every Thursday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the First Church of Christ, 441 Ledbetter Road, Xenia.

Xenia’s Music in the Park concerts are held on the first and third Sundays during the summer months in the Shawnee Park Pavilion. The last concert for the summer will be the Aug. 17 concert, at 6 p.m., by the Greene County Adult Band. DIANA BLOWERS, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
