Hot air balloon festival to feature auction, concert

The Arthuur Huffer Jr. Memorial Hot Air Balloon Festival and Germantown founders day event will be held at Kercher Community Park on Astoria Road in Germantown on Aug. 2.

Concessions will be available for purchase and attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair. The event is free to the public.

The hot air balloon launch will occur from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The concert, featuring a 1950s-60s rock band will last from 7-9 p.m. and a second hot air balloon launch will occur from 9-9:30 p.m. ANDREW SMITH
