Luckily for you, Dayton has plenty of ways to help you pick yourself up after a brutal breakup.
1. Meet some “nontoxic” singles at Toxic Brew Company’s Monday Mixer Night
Even if you don’t feel ready to dive back into the sea of single fish, going to events like a mixer can help you remember how fun it is to meet new people and put your best foot forward. Toxic’s mixer happens on the last Monday of every month from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Not to mention, Moscow Mules are only $5 until 9 p.m. Liquid courage, my friends.

4. Work on your inner peace
Breakups can be one of the best opportunities to get to know yourself all over again. Yoga and meditation classes are excellent for rediscovering all the things you love about yourself. Because there is SO much to love! Dayton is all about getting flexible, and there are plenty of different styles and yoga studios to choose from. Regularly attending a yoga class can also introduce you to a handful of new friends you might have a lot in common with. Here’s some of the most popular stops for Dayton yoga:
5. Get some fresh air until you just don’t care
We were just named one of ten cities with the most green space by National Geographic because there are TONS of options for getting out into nature and letting the fresh air clear your mind. Not to mention, a day-hike can be a great excuse to invite a new romantic interest without the pressure of a super formal date. Between all of our MetroParks, waterfalls and gardens, we're actually kind of spoiled. If you need some ideas, check out our guide to the best places to hike in the Dayton-area.

6. Shop until you drop (your ex)
We know that material items won't fill that hole you feel in your heart right now. However, letting yourself go on a relaxing day trip of shopping in the Oregon District and other local shops is a fun way to pick up a few nick-knacks that can add new vibes to your space and closet. Supporting local businesses can also make you feel more connected to your community, which is always a positive when you're starting a new chapter. Here are eight boutiques in the Oregon District and nearby that we love.
